On April 4, 2022, the City introduced the Pembroke Pines Development HUB, and the City's new online permitting software (EnerGov). To submit development-related applications, use the Development HUB.
Our mission is to utilize all available resources, especially information technology, to measure, plan, and guide the City’s growth in a manner that is reflective of the vision of its citizens and their chosen representatives.
The Planning and Economic Development Department provides the following services:
- Current and Long Range Planning
- Business Relocation, Support, and Economic Development
- Housing Programs
- Landscaping (Design and Enforcement)
- Tree Removal and Relocation
- Zoning
The Department is composed of eleven dedicated employees who provide courteous, timely, and efficient service to the public (Planning and Economic Development Staff Directory). Staff members from the Department serve as staff liaisons for the following advisory boards: Board of Adjustment, Planning and Zoning, Environmental, Economic Development, and Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
