Pool Credit

New Pool or Pool Repair?

You may be entitled to a credit for a portion of your sewer charges. (The City does not give credit for a partially filled pool or "topping off" a pool).

To request for a pool credit:

Wait until you receive the Utility bill that reflects the high usage.

If you hired a repair service:

Submit a copy of the repair invoice indicating the nature of work that was completed (not the estimate), the date of repair, and the property address.

If you completed the work yourself:

Submit a copy of your receipt(s) reflecting the date of supplies/chemicals/materials/parts purchased and include a brief description of the nature of the work that was completed.

Complete the Pool Credit Request Form (click here for form)

Be sure to include the following information: the date of the repair, pool dimensions (length x width x depth, both shallow end and deep end), approximate gallons it holds and the date(s) the pool was filled completely. Also, include your name, service address, and phone number.

In addition to the completed form, please provide the pool sketch page from Broward County Property Appraiser (BCPA) that shows image of pool and dimensions. You can access their web site by clicking on this link: https://bcpa.net/RecMenu.asp and search for your property.

If this is a newly constructed pool that is being filled, please provide either a copy of the pool contract/plans indicating the pool dimensions (as the pool may not be registered in BCPA yet)

If this is an above-ground pool, the City offers a one-time only fill. You will need to provide a copy of the make/model/specifications of the pool indicating the dimensions.

Once reviewed, you will be contacted by customer service. If a credit is warranted, it will be applied to your account within 2-3 billing cycles.

If you have any questions, please contact Customer Service at 954-518-9000

*Remember to remit payment by the due date during this process to avoid any late fees.
