A Public Open House Workshop is being held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the South Regional/Broward College Library Auditorium, located at 7300 Pines Blvd., to share information regarding the North Perry Airport Master Plan Update. The Broward County Aviation Dept (BCAD) is updating the Master Plan for North Perry Airport (HWO). The goal of an Airport Master Plan is to provide the framework needed to guide future airport development that will cost-effectively satisfy aviation demand, while considering potential environmental and socioeconomic impacts. Last updated in 2009, the Airport's Master Plan is being updated to reflect changes in the overall aviation market and the local economy. The Master Planning process is designed to encourage information sharing and collaboration with all stakeholders, including the general public. This workshop has been scheduled to provide information on the Master Plan Update process, forecasts of activity, facility requirements, preliminary development alternatives, and airport improvement alternatives. Representatives from BCAD and the Consultants team will be available to answer questions and receive comments on the ongoing update, including analyses and tasks completed to date.
