Mixed Media Art Class

In this class students will explore with a wide range of materials and techniques; using references from folk art and architecture from around the globe, as well as from past and contemporary artists that have worked with mixed media.

By creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks, the students will use or combine any of the following techniques: Collage, Found Object Art, Recycled Art, Artist’s Journal, Art Book, Assemblage, Papier Maché.

With the exercises designed by the teacher, the students will gain a better understanding of traditional and non-traditional materials which can be used in the visual arts, and will also gain an advanced notion of two-dimensional and three-dimensional space.

Class is on Mondays from 6-8pm at Fletcher Art & Cultural Center, 7960 Johnson Street, 954-986-5027. $45/month for ages 12-17
