The Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center is hosting its annual Veterans Employment Expo on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Center, located at 301 NW 103 Ave. Veterans are encouraged to attend throughout the day, however, doors will open to the general public beginning at noon. It’s a great opportunity for veterans to meet directly with hiring managers in the area from a variety of companies and organizations. More than 30 employers and over 20 various service agencies that can assist veterans financially, medically, etc. will be in attendance. This Expo is an extension of the City of Pembroke Pines Re-Energize and Re-Connect Initiative whose goal is to provide resources and housing at the R&R Village Veterans Housing, established in 2015 and located on the Howard C.
