The City of Pembroke Pines City Hall/Administrative Offices are open (Thursday, Sept. 29) at regularly scheduled hours.
- City parks remain closed and will reopen on Friday, Sept. 30.
- All parks, sports fields, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, racquetball courts and pools remain closed and all activities, training and or classes at the parks are canceled until Friday, Sept. 30.
- Rose Price Park hall - All meetings and classes at this location are canceled until Friday
- Towngate Park hall and gym - All meetings and classes at this location are canceled until Friday
- Studio 18, Pembroke Pines Art & Culture Center, and The Frank Art Gallery are open usual hours
- Pembroke Lakes Tennis Center and Pembroke Lakes Golf Course will reopen Friday
- The Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center and Easter Seals Daycare will remain closed until Friday, Sept. 30
- Transportation Routes, which includes Senior Transportation and Community Shuttle Bus will resume on Friday, Sept. 30
- City of Pembroke Pines Charter Schools and Early Learning Centers remain closed on Thursday.
IMPORTANT:
City of Pembroke Pines storm debris removal crews will start removing the debris generated by Tuesday’s tornado on Friday 9/30/2022. Crews will make an initial sweep of the area and then return for a final sweep following the weekend. They intend to have this completed by mid to end of next week. The areas affected by the tornado lie between University Drive to Douglas Road and Pines Blvd. to Sheridan Street: Pasadena Lakes, Sunswept, and a portion of Westview. Residents not affected by the tornado need to continue to adhere to their bulk schedule for both vegetative and C&D debris.
Please note:
- It is very important that vegetative debris is separated from construction & demolition (C&D) items, includes fencing, roofing, building materials, household items, etc.
- Debris will only be removed from the right of way swale; crews will not go onto private property. Any debris on private property will need to be moved to the swale by the property owners.
- Once the second sweep has been completed, any debris that remains on the private property will need to be put out per the bulk schedule.
