[ARCHIVED] Hurricane Ian

The City of Pembroke Pines continues to monitor Hurricane Ian and all storms throughout the Atlantic.  Please continue to check with The National Hurricane Center for updates. As always throughout Hurricane Season, we ask everyone to remain prepared. For preparation information and resources, please visit  As a reminder, the days before or during a storm are not the time to trim your trees or bring bulk items to the curb. If possible, please refrain from placing new bulk trash items out. Unsecured debris can become dangerous projectiles during a storm, causing property damage and impeding the movement of first responders.  Update information regarding Hurricane Ian can be found HERE.

As of this morning (Tuesday, Sept. 27) Waste Pro, our residential solid waste hauler, and EWS our residential bulk hauler, continue to work  throughout the City of Pembroke Pines.  Their trucks will remain on the road until it is unsafe to do so, which generally refers to sustained winds that exceed 35-mph.  Delays occurred yesterday, however, those areas that were not serviced will be serviced today.  Due to the ongoing rain, we also foresee delays today. Though we do not anticipate cancellation of services at this time, residents should continually check the City’s website and social media platforms for any changes to the garbage and bulk service schedule.
