SnowFest 2019 is being held on December 7, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. Hosted by the City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department, this annual free event welcomes all ages. There will be 75 tons of snow in which to play, a Polar Express slide, Holiday Carousel and a Gingerbread bouncer, just to name a few of the many exciting activities featured. Children can make their own Santa Trail Mix, create and take art projects and enjoy reindeer games. The air will also be filled with the sounds of the holidays with over 500 performers on the holiday stage. Santa and City officials will also need everyone’s help in the lighting of a 35 foot decorated tree on the plaza. The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. Visitors should also be on the lookout for snow flurries that just may appear throughout the event.
There is free parking, free rides and free activities. Tickets, however, are required for the Snow Area and can be purchased in advance at City Hall, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the third floor in the Recreation and Cultural Arts Offices. For additional locations where tickets can be purchased, please visit www.ppines.com/special events or call the Special Events Office at 954-392-2116.
