Sewer Connection Grant Assistance

The City of Pembroke Pines is embarking on its Sewer Connection improvement project in the Pines Village neighborhood. The City is pleased to offer low- to moderate-income residents a program that provides financial assistance to homeowners required to hook up to the City sewer system. This program is funded through the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and must adhere to CDBG rules. 

This Grant Program will provide homeowners funding for costs up to $5,000.00 associated with the abandonment of the existing septic tank system, installation, and connection to the City’s sewer service line.

Assistance shall be provided on a first-come, first-served, first-qualified basis.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Single Family detached, condominium, and townhouse units, including units in Planned Unit Developments, located in the City of Pembroke Pines. 
  • Eligible applicants shall not exceed the CDBG program's 80% of the area median income (AMI) adjusted for family size. 
    * Income limits are determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 
  • Assessed Value of Homes – At or Below:  $568,557.00

The Sewer Connection Grant Assistance Program is administered by the City of Pembroke Pines in conjunction with the City’s housing consultant, Community Redevelopment Associates of Florida, Inc.
