Burglary Suppression Team

The Pembroke Pines Police Department Burglary Suppression Team (BST) is primarily responsible for conducting both a proactive and investigative approach to preventing criminal activity within Pembroke Pines. Members of the Burglary Suppression Team are deployed based on crime trends and actual intelligence. Burglary Suppression Team Detectives work in partnership with other units with the agency and outside agencies with the common goal of preventing criminal activity.

Detectives use various investigative resources to identify and apprehend those responsible for residential burglaries, vehicle burglaries, theft of motor vehicles, and organized retail thefts.

The majority of vehicle burglaries occur on the middle of the night, and involve criminals going from vehicle to vehicle pulling on car door handles and looking for visible items of value.  Don't make yourself a target!  Residents should always follow the 9PM Routine by setting a reoccurring reminder in your phone to doublecheck your vehicle & home before going to bed.   

ALWAYS lock your vehicle & garage doors, remove your valuables (including firearms, spare keys, and garage openers), and enable all alarms.
