Celebrate Independence Day with the City of Pembroke Pines


Pembroke Pines, FL (May 21, 2019) – The City of Pembroke Pines welcomes both residents and guests for the Annual Fourth of July Celebration at the Pines Recreation Center Festival Grounds located at 7400 Pines Blvd.  This free event includes live music, rides, food trucks and a breathtaking display of fireworks.
Guests, wearing their red, white and blue colors, can arrive as early as 6 p.m. to begin purchasing a wide array of delicious foods such as hamburgers, hot dogs and plenty of others delicacies from the food truck invasion until 9:00 p.m., including a beer truck.  From 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., there will be arts and crafts, rides, slides, games and many more fun activities for the kids.  Families can also dance to the Top 40 sounds of the Clique Band from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
At 9 p.m., one of the premier fireworks displays in all of South Florida will begin. The beautiful pyrotechnics spectacle will last approximately 20-25 minutes.
Please keep in mind that coolers, pets and personal fireworks are not permitted on the Festival Grounds.  For utmost comfort, please bring a blanket or chair for seating.
Independence Day (Fourth of July) has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941. On July 4th, the Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence, which had been written largely by Thomas Jefferson. Though the vote for actual independence took place on July 2nd, from then on the 4th became the day that was celebrated as the birth of American independence.
