Pembroke Pines, FL – (February 13, 2019) Participants enjoyed some friendly competition and brought the heat as it was no easy feat to bake those delicious treats for The Master Chef “White or Dark” Chocolate Baking Challenge in the main hall of the City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point (SWFP) Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103rd Avenue in Pembroke Pines (off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue).
The February 12, 2019 event began promptly at 10:00 a.m. and this year’s winner, Sandra Levine, now has bragging rights as the first place finisher with a certificate of recognition and cash prize of $50 by impressing the judges with her Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. The Second and Third places and prizes were awarded to Esperanza Venesuela for her Chocolate Poke Cake and Earline Thomas for her Chocolate Cake with Hearts. The First runner-up received $30, and the Third Place finisher received $20.
