Pembroke Pines, FL… December 4, 2017….Registration has begun for the 2018 Afternoon and Evening Classes at the City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103^rd Avenue, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026.
 
People 18 years or older may register for the free membership. Membership at The Center opens up a world of new opportunities, interesting classes, special events and activities. NEW! Paint & Sip Parties
It does not matter if you have never painted before; everyone is welcome to join the party!  Gather up your family and friends and book a private painting party! Instructors will guide each participant in the creation of a bright and beautiful painting on stretched canvas. Create art and happy memories at the same time! Each person will take home a one-of-a kind painting and possibly a newly found talent! BYOB of wine and/or snacks, everything else is included!  Schedule a private party with a minimum 10 people, to celebrate birthdays, baby showers, bachelorette parties, date nights, girl’s night out, family gatherings and much more!  Email hdaniels@ppines.com for more information.   
 
Flamenco Dancing
Luna Calé is a professional dance company created to promote flamenco music, dance and Hispanic culture. Our goal is to support growth of both student and professional flamenco artists by sponsoring performances, flamenco music and dance education opportunities. Pottery Studio
Create high-fired stoneware using both the hand building method and the potter’s wheel. Offered in two six-week sessions on Wednesdays from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Sessions: 1/10/18 through 2/14/18 and 2/28/18 through 4/4/18.  Fee is $42.00 per person - materials not included.  
 
Glaze Formulation One-Day Workshop
Offered:  Wednesday February 21, 2018 from 6:00 -9:00 p.m. This all-inclusive one-day workshop is for the seasoned pottery student ready to start making glazes. Learn basic glaze formulas, weights and measures, colorants, mixing and storing techniques. Each student will take home three containers of glaze they make from scratch!  Fee is $45.00 per person, includes all materials.   
 
Adult Sewing Classes
In this creative class, students will learn how to make alterations, home decorating items and how to make custom outfits. Bring your own machine or use one of ours. All skill levels are welcome. Offered in two six-week sessions on Wednesdays from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Sessions:  1/10/18 through 2/14/18 and 2/28/18 through 4/4/18.  Fee: $42.00 per person, materials not included.
 
Fine Jewelry Design
Using semi-precious stones, pearls, 14K gold and Sterling Silver, students will create exquisite one-of-a-kind fine jewelry pieces. Offered in two six-week sessions on Wednesdays: 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. (First class meets from 4:30pm until 7:30pm).  Sessions: 1/10/18 through 2/14/18 and 2/28/18 through 4/4/18.   Fee:  $45.00 per person, materials not included.
 
Belly Basics with Naiilah!
This easy to follow belly dancing course is designed for beginners and slightly advanced students. Have fun as you exercise! Offered in two six-week sessions on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Sessions:  1/9/18 through 2/13/18 and 2/27/18 through 4/3/18.  Fee: $45.00 per person.
 
Intro to Fused Glass
Learn the fundamental techniques required for creating unique one-of-a-kind kiln fired fused glass projects. Offered in 6 weeks sessions. Offered in two six-week sessions on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Sessions:  1/11/18 through 2/15/18 and 3/1/18 through 4/5/18. Fee:  $42.00 per person, materials not included.
 
Pines West Camera Club
