Pembroke Pines, FL…November 28, 2017... The community is invited to enjoy a Winter Wonderland of free Holiday Festivities from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the 21st Annual Holiday Open House hosted by the City of Pembroke Pines Community Services Department at the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 N.W. 103rd Avenue and sponsored by Petland of Pembroke Pines.
Guests will take a step back in time when they enter The Center through a snow-covered log cabin where a magical and magnificent holiday scenes and experiences awaits. Photo opportunities abound for families, including selfies with elves! The holiday spirit will envelop Over 30 differently themed holiday trees, an enormous miniature village with operating trains chugging through snow-covered hills and towns, Santa Claus, Reindeer games, musical entertainment, holiday cookies, and hot cocoa topped with whipped cream and sprinkles will certainly !
“Families enjoy this event so much. They return year after year dressing in their holiday best to make memories and take family photos,” said Suzy Felix, Activities Coordinator at The Center. “Our Annual Holiday Open House has become a real family tradition. We have young parents whose parents brought them, who are now bringing their own children! Three generations of family enjoying hours of holiday music, entertainment and enjoyment!”
Year round classes and special events are held at the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 N.W. 103rd Avenue in Pembroke Pines, 33026. Classes, workshops, activities and events are held during the weekday and evening for members 18 years and older and membership is free. Many of the special events are free, although some require a fee and advanced registration.
