BOW WOW WEENHundreds Enjoyed A Howling Halloween Good Time!
Pembroke Pines, FL….October 11, 2017…Hundreds of people and their pups attended the Fifth Annual Bow Wow Ween Halloween Party at the 9751 Johnson Street Dog Park in Pembroke Pines. Every year dogs come in costume (with their people) to play games and compete in the Fifth Annual Bow Wow Ween & Miss Bow Wow Ween costume contest.
“This is one of our most popular special events,” said Francie Novo, Special Events Coordinator for the City of Pembroke Pines who created the event. “While the Bow Wow Ween costume contest is the main attraction the dogs and their owners enjoy socializing with one another with a well-placed pat or sniff, depending on who was greeting whom!” Local pet stores and groomers helped underwrite the event and set up take away tables piled high with dog treats. Organizers provide plenty of water bowls for the pups and poo-bags for people to take care of any “deposits”. Those considering attending the 2018 Bow Wow Ween are certain to have an enjoyable morning and some may go home with Costume Contest bragging rights!

Funniest Costume: 1st Place: Daphney & Bella, Rescue Papilloins: Three Peas in a Pod, 2nd Place: Brownie, Daschaund: Shark, 3rd Place: Teddy & Sapphire: Ghost Buster and Slimer.
Scariest Costume: 1st Place: Bocci, Miniature Pinscher: Dracula, 2nd Place: Meiko, Pit Bull: Lion, 3rd Place: Roxy, English Bull Terrier: Zombie Dog.
Cutest Costume: 1st Place: Bentley, Rat Terrier: Batman, 2nd Place: Teddy, Yorkie: Football Player, 3rd Place: Mimi, Basenji: Fairy.
Most Original Costume: 1st Place: Louie, Yorkie: Gumbo Soup, 2nd Place: Bella, Chihuahua: Black Jack Bella, 3rd Place: Mojo, Chihuahua: Officer and Inmate.
