Hurricane Irma Related Advisements

 

Pembroke Pines, FL… September 5, 2017…3:50 p.m.… In the face of the impending storm Hurricane Irma, the City of Pembroke Pines announces all city facilities will be closed Friday, September 8, 2017 and will remain closed until further notice, including the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus, located at 301 NW 103 Avenue.  
 
The Pembroke Pines Charter School System will follow Broward County recommendations for school cancellation. Per Broward County, there will be no school this week on Thursday, September 7, 2017 and Friday, September 8, 2017.
 
The Pembroke Pines Community Transportation Program will adhere to the Broward County transportation schedule.
 
Pembroke Pines Bulk pick-up has been provided throughout the City of Pembroke Pines by Zone. Bulk service will be suspended following the completion of the Wednesday, September 6, 2017 pick-up in Zone 9.  Residents/Businesses are requested to not cut trees or place debris in the swale if bulk pick-up has been completed.  Please check the City’s website and social media pages for information on when bulk service will resume.

  • September 7, 2017 – Community Meeting meeting hosted by Commissioner Iris Siple
  • September 8, 2017 - Grandparents Day Celebration at the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus.
  • September 9, 2017 - BSO Shred-a-Thon scheduled at the Charles F. Dodge City Center
  • September 11, 2017 – Patriot Day, 9-11 Observance at the Pembroke Pines Memorial Park.
  • September 11, 2017 – HOA meeting hosted by Vice Mayor Angelo Castillo.
