Pembroke Pines, FL…August 9, 2017… The Children’s Free Summer Film Festival, presented by the City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department concludes this Saturday, August 12, 2017 with the showing of “Mary Poppins”. The G rated movie begins at 10:00 a.m. at The River of Grass ArtsPark in the Susan B. Katz Theater located at 17189 Sheridan Street. No ticket or reservation is required. “Our 2017 Children’s Free Summer Film Festival was very popular with attendees,” said Holly Bonkowski, Division Director of Cultural Arts for the City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department. “This year we featured Moana, Secret Life of Pets, Dennis the Menace, Trolls, The Lego Movie, The Angry Birds Movie, Rio 2, Storks and Mary Poppins.”
 
The Free Children’s Summer Film Festival project is funded in part by Broward County through the Broward County Commissioners with proceeds from the 2000 Broward County Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Issue.
