Pembroke Pines, FL…. July 6, 2017….ROCKIN’ attracted record crowds to the opening Art Exhibition and Reception at Studio 18 in the Pines. The Art Exhibition featuring the world’s most popular Rock Stars including Keith Richards, U2, Gloria Estefan, Eddie Van Halen, Roger Daltry, Kiss, and The Gibb brothers is open to visitors through August 2, 2017.

For the fourteen artists whose work is on exhibit, ROCKIN’ is far more than a simple nostalgic trip back to the mid to late twentieth century. Artists captured the art of music in images as the musicians from the 1960-90’s Rock n’ Roll Era were unknowingly on the verge of becoming musical icons.  In this ROCKIN’ review of history, the following artists used their skills in photography, oils, and mixed media to showcase the art of Rock n’ Roll:  Ana Aguerrevere, Lisa Botto Lee, Florencia Clement de Grandpre, Ken Davidoff, Gloria Estafan, The Gibb Family, Laurence Levine, Reinaldo Lozano, Larry Marano, Pamela Palma, Alicia Rodriguez, Larry Singer, Dawn V. and Maria Wieder.

“Artistic interpretations capture the heart and soul of a musical era. This is an opportunity to see legendary Rock n’ Roll performers sharing iconic and deeply personal moments of their lives. The Rock n’ Roll Era comes alive for the enjoyment of long-time fans and a new generation of music and art lovers,” commented Michael Edelberg, Curator / Community Engagement Coordinator for Studio 18 in the Pines.

The music of Peter Betan was the perfect complement to an evening filled with appreciation for the music of artists whose unmatched talent is responsible for revolutionizing the way audiences relate to music and the Artists whose contemporary talent captured the sheer enjoyment of Rock n’ Roll performers in their moments of growth, glory, thoughtfulness and excitement.
