Pembroke Pines, FL (January 12, 2026) -- The City of Pembroke Pines is proud to host its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Celebration, marking the first time the event will include a parade on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. The community is invited to come together for a morning of unity, remembrance, and celebration at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way.

Event Details

The parade will start at 9:00 AM. and travel south along 103rd Avenue to Washington Street, loop north to 106th Avenue, and conclude in front of City Hall. Three designated parade viewing areas with bleacher seating will be available for spectators.

Leading the parade as Grand Marshals will be Mayor Angelo Castillo and Shauna Hicks-Lee, joined by local elected officials, the City of Pembroke Pines Police and Fire Departments, marching bands, dance troops, and special surprise participants.

Following the parade, the celebration will continue on the Plaza with face painting, arts and crafts for children, interactive family-friendly activities, food trucks, and a variety of vendors. Adding to the excitement, the Deep Fried Funk Band will perform live from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Bring your lawn chairs and the whole family and be part of this historic community event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
