Student Art Competition (Grades K-12)

Winners Announced


Pembroke Pines, FL (November 10, 2025) – The 8th Annual Student Art Competition was held for students in grades K-12 in the City of Pembroke Pines and displayed at the 2025 Festival of the Arts for visitors to see. Winners received awards and recognition for their great artwork which featured a variety of mediums. Prizes included $100, $50, and $25 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively. Below are the selected winners.  

Grades K-2

1st Place: Sophia Shvedchykova – “Rainbow Boat” (Pembroke Pines Charter FSU Campus, Grade 2)

2nd Place: Rohil Arya – “Majestic Mountain” (Somerset Academy, Grade 2)

3rd Place: Sophia Gomes – “Petals in Paris” (Pembroke Pines Charter Central, Grade 2)

Grades 3-5

1st Place: Abigail Gonzalez-Sierra – “A Tulip in a Million” (Franklin Academy, Grade 5)

2nd Place: Valentina Hernandez – “Peek-A-Boo!” (Pembroke Pines Art & Cultural Center, Grade 5)

3rd Place: Oliver Dong – “Jellyfish” (Lakeside Elementary, Grade 3)

Grades 6-8

1st Place: Iyene Isaac – “Blonde Glamour” (Pembroke Pines Resident-NSU University School, Grade 7)

2nd Place: Ronak Arya – “Piazza del Colosseo” (Somerset Academy, Grade 8)

3rd Place: Aanya Amith Ambale – “Sole-ful Expressions” (Pembroke Pines Charter Academic Village, Grade 6)

Grades 9-12

1st Place: Lisa Marie Martinez – “At the Pet Store” (West Broward High School, Grade 12)

2nd Place: Janine Trewick – “Musical Alien” (Somerset Arts Conservatory, Grade 12)

3rd Place: Gemely Cruz-Trinidad – “The Expression of a Bengal Tiger” (Pembroke Pines Resident-Homeschooled, Grade 10)
