Learn About Deed Fraud

Pembroke Pines, FL (July 23, 2025) – All are invited to join Pembroke Pines Mayor Angelo Castillo and Broward County Property Appraiser (BCPA) Marty Kiar to learn about deed fraud, an ever-growing concern, on Tuesday, August 12 at 7 PM at the Pembroke Pines Commission Chambers, located at 601 City Center Way. BCPA staff will be onsite to sign residents up for the FREE Owner Alert system and assist with tax-saving exemptions. This is a free event.

Deed Fraud occurs when a property deed or title transfer is executed and recorded illegally without the authorization or knowledge of the true and present owner. The City of Pembroke Pines is dedicated to working with the Broward County Property Appraiser office to inform residents and keep them safe from criminals who record fraudulent deeds.
