Relay For Life 2025 – “The Carnival of Life”

Pembroke Pines, FL (February 12, 2025) -- The City of Pembroke Pines and Miramar have joined together with the American Cancer Society for the 27th Annual Pembroke Pines/Miramar Relay for Life Event being held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the City of Pembroke Pines Charter High Athletic Field, located at 17189 Sheridan Street from 6:00 pm – 12 am. This year’s theme is “The Carnival of Life.”

Details

This free event kicks off with a Survivor Dinner at 5 pm. This is open to registered survivors along with their caregivers and family. The opening ceremony, which begins at 6 pm, features performances, check presentations and the recognition of survivors and caregivers. The first lap is when everyone who has ever fought or knows someone who fought cancer is invited to walk the track and cheer for survivors in attendance.

Candlelight/Luminaria Ceremony:

After dark, or at approximately 9 pm, the Luminaria Ceremony takes place, lining the entire track with lit bags honoring and remembering those who have battled cancer.

Fun for a Cause:

Throughout the evening, participants enjoy entertainment, games, music, great food, camaraderie and tons of FUN. Long before the last walkers approach the finish line at closing ceremonies, new lifelong friends have been made, old friends and family have been hugged and all hearts have been touched by the magic that is Relay for Life.
