memorialday

Join the City of Pembroke Pines in honoring our Military and Armed Forces on Monday, May 29, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Donnith Fletcher Park, located at 7900 Johnson Street. The City of Pembroke Pines’ Annual Memorial Day Ceremony is a touching tribute and celebration of bravery. All are welcome to spend the day with City Commissioners, the Mayor of Pembroke Pines and community leaders to salute the heroic troops who selflessly fight for our freedom. Guests will be able to watch the Honor Guard present colors, recite the pledge of allegiance led by Mayor Frank C. Ortis, and hear a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem by Sofia Verdura. Later in the ceremony a guest speaker from Southern Command will speak, followed by a Wreath Placement and Dedication. A complimentary light breakfast is free and included for all in attendance.
