Emergency Management
Under the leadership of the emergency manager, the Emergency Management Team ensures that the City of Pembroke Pines is prepared to respond to, recover from, and mitigate the negative effects of natural disasters, terrorist attacks, mass casualty incidents, and any other major emergencies.

Primary Role
The primary role is to develop and implement an all-hazards approach to disaster response and recovery through the direction and coordination of multiple departments within the City. The adoption of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and, in cooperation with Broward County’s Emergency Management Agency, will serve as the foundation in our approach to reduce the risks and better prepare, mitigate, and prevent from major emergencies.
