  Little Miss Sweetheart Application

The City of Pembroke Pines cordially invites families, friends and residents to celebrate the city’s 59th Birthday on Pines Day being held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from noon to 6:00 p.m. on the plaza at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way.

A large assortment of exciting activities, with the theme "Pembroke Pines is Out of this World," will showcase a fun-filled day of celebrating, which will include the Frost Museum of Science and the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium joining in the festivities with two indoor Planetariums.  Participants can take a trip through outer space and discover educational facts about the solar system. Children will have an opportunity to explore the Galaxy with hands-on projects and interactive activities related to their voyage through the stars. There will also be free rides for the kids as well as free popcorn and cotton candy. The Children's Stage will make sure the party never stops with over 400 performers entertaining throughout the day.

In the Great Hall, there will be a Kids Konnection Business Expo, featuring kid-friendly businesses that will keep children and parents informed of what there is to do in Pembroke Pines and neighboring areas. Vendors will have giveaways, raffles and goody bags for those who visit their booth.

Additionally, The Royal Court Pageant, which includes The Little Miss Sweetheart and Miss Pembroke Pines, will take place inside the City Center Commission Chambers where a queen and princess will be crowned in each category. Contestants must be Pembroke Pines residents, ages 3-5; 6-8; 9-12; and 13-16, and provide a completed application by no later than April 19, 2019.  The pageant will get underway promptly at 1:00 p.m.  Eight young ladies will be crowned and become the newest city ambassadors.

Lastly, a 10-foot Birthday Cake will be on display inside the lobby at the City Center.  At 5:00 p.m., visitors are invited to the “Party on the Plaza” Cake Cutting Ceremony where everyone can satisfy their sweet tooth and enjoy a piece of cake. Those interested in something more than satisfying their sweet tooth with cake are able to purchase food and drinks at the concessions located inside the City Center throughout the day.  Parking and Admission are free.
